"Intouchables" (IMDB: 8.5) - 2011

Sem dúvida o melhor dos três! Adorei o filme (nunca pensei dizer isto de um filme francês, mas estou a começar a achar que tem sido um preconceito parvo)! A história é verídica e muito interessante. As interpretações são muito boas. Dá para rir, dá para chorar, dá para pensar. É daqueles que dá vontade de ver mais vezes.

It's the best of the three, without doubt! I loved the movie (I never thought that I would say someday that I loved a french movie, but I think that was a stupid prejudice)! It's a very interesting true story. With good interpretations. It makes us smile, cry, think. It's a movie that we want to see more than once.

"We Bought a Zoo" (IMDB: 7.2) - 2011

Fartei-me de chorar! Não sei se estava demasiado sensível ou se foi mesmo do filme. Trata-se de uma história diferente, com alguns exageros que provavelmente não aconteceriam na realidade, mas mesmo assim ficamos presos a ela. Principalmente por causa da filha! Que miúda fofa!

I cried a lot! Maybe I was too emotional. It's a different story, with some exaggerations that probably would not happen in the reality, however we got stuck with it. Specially because of the little daugther! What a sweet girl!

"The Grey" (IMDB: 7.1) - 2011

O pior dos três! Trata-se de uma história um bocado stressante, e sinceramente não gostei. É um filme que podem ver perfeitamente se não tiverem mais nada para fazer. Talvez por causa dos outros dois,este não me satisfez completamente.

The worst of the three! It's a very stressfull story, and a really didn't like it at all.It's a movie that you could saw if you didn't have nothing more to do, but maybe because of the other two movies, this didn't made me completely satisfied.

Adoro semanas com feriados à quarta feira! Deviam ser todas assim: dois dias de trabalho, um dia de descanso, dois dias de trabalho, dois dias de descanso! Ahhh... como eu seria feliz!

Holiday movies!

Ora bem, por onde ei-de começar... Ontem vi um filme, do qual me tinham falado muito bem e para o qual ia com as espectativas muito altas. "Shame". Não é de todo o meu estilo, cheio de cenas estáticas, com 6 e 8 minutos cada, mas que na realidade parecem horas.  Sim, não sou do tipo de gostar de filmes intelectualóides (embora os consiga ver se me inspirarem confiança!), sim, até gosto de filmes comerciais (desde que não sejam "Twilight's" e afins!), mas não, não gosto de filmes que me dão sono! "Shame" on me, maybe, por não ter gostado deste filme, do qual até já li boas críticas. Mas pronto, não gostei.

Pelo contrário, vi também o novo "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", que apesar de ser um filme sem qualquer pretensão a Óscar, diverte. Por isso tenho um lema: grandes espectativas raramente dão bons resultados!

Well, let me start... Yesterday I saw a movie, which I had heard very well and for which I went with great expectations. "Shame". It is not quite my style, full of static scenes, with six or eight minutes each, but actually seem like hours. Yes, I'm not the kind of intellectual movies' person (although I can see some if they can inspire me confidence!), yes, I like commercial movies (not "Twilight's" style!), but no, I don't like movies that make me sleep! "Shame" on me, maybe, because I didn't like this movie, which I've read good reviews. But well, I didn't like,

On the other hand, I also saw the new "Sherlock Holmes: The Game of Shadows", which is not an Oscar movie, but it is quite funny. So I have a motto:  great expectations rarely give good results!

Mais um fim de semana de filmes... Finalmente vi "The Help" e não me desiludiu de todo! Um bom filme, com boas interpretações, num tempo não muito distante e que nos faz pensar como o ser humano pode ser tão cruel, tão vil, tão destituído de sentimentos.

Another weekend of movies... Finally I saw "The Help" and I'm not disappointed at all! A good movie, with great performances, a time not so far away, that makes us think about how human beings could be so cruel, so vile, so devoided of feelings.

Devia ser das poucas pessoas que nunca tinha visto o filme "Kill Bill" do Tarantino. Vi este fim de semana o primeiro volume e, apesar de não gostar do estilo, até achei uma certa graça ao total non sense que abunda no filme. De onde aquele homem tira aquelas ideias? 

I should be one of the few people who had never seen "Kill Bill" of Tarantino. I saw the first   volume on past weekend and, despite not being my style, I think that is quite funny with all that non sense. Where that man found those ideas?

Desde a minha adolescência que, mal chega o Verão, ponho uma pulseirinha no tornozelo! Só não a uso durante o Inverno pois, por vezes com as botas, magoa. Pois então, qual não foi o meu espanto quando começo a ver em alguns blogs populares, as ditas pulseirinhas.... Será esta a nova/velha moda de Verão?

Neste momento estou a ler este livro da Danielle Steel. Nada de especial até ao momento (devo dizer que já estou quase no fim!). Já li melhores dela!

I'm currently reading this new book of Danielle Steel. Nothing special so far (but I must say that I'm almost at the end!). I've read better from her!

Nº1: Chegar à Zara (ou outra loja qualquer, neste caso foi a Zara!) e constatar que afinal as coisas que tinha visto no site e que me pareceram ultra-mega-giras são na verdade uma desilusão!

Nº2: Levar dois números seguidos de calças para os provadores e chegar à conclusão que um está pequeno e o outro está grande! Mas que raio...tenho assim um corpo tão "fora do formato"???

Nº3: Ir sozinha às compras, chegar aos provadores e aperceber-me que fui um bocado naif ao pensar que iria caber num S, e querer a ajuda de uma assistente de loja para me ir buscar o M (ou quem sabe, o L), para evitar o despe-veste-despe-veste, e não ver nem umazinha num raio de 100 km! Conclusão: vestir outra vez tudo e ir em busca do tal número (hummm...???) ou (o que aconteceu na verdade!) sair da loja a espumar da boca e com uma bruta de uma frustração!

Pronto: finalmente desabafei!

No. 1: Getting to Zara (or any other store, in this case was Zara!) and conclude that all the things I had seen on the website, that seemed ultra-mega-gorgeous, are actually a disappointment!

No. 2: Take two followed numbers of pants to the tasters and reach the conclusion that one is small and the other is quite big! What the hell ... I have a body so well "out of shape"??

No. 3: Go shopping alone, get to the tasters and notice that I was a bit naive to think that would fit in a S, and want the help of an assistant to bring me a M (or maybe, L), to avoid dress-undress-dress-undress, and see no fucking assistant on a radius of 100 km! Conclusion: all dressed again and go in search of this number (hummm... ???) or (what actually happened!) go out of the store, with a huge pain in the ass and a gigantic frustration!

OK: finally I get these things off my chest!

Tim Burton style, of course! Nunca tinha visto este filme, e gostei bastante sobretudo pela mensagem clara de que os sonhos e a imaginação não têm limites, mesmo no final da nossa vida!

Tim Burton style, of course! I've never seen this movie, but I really liked it, especially for the clear message that dreams and imagination have no limits, even at the end of our lives!

"Scent of a Woman" (IMDB: 7.8) - 1992

Este filme já o tinha visto há muito tempo atrás. Como sempre, adorei-o! Para mim, o melhor papel de Al Pacino!

I had already seen this movie sometime ago. As always, I loved it! For me, the best role of AlPacino!

"Gandhi" (IMDB: 8.1) - 1982

190 minutos de um bom filme durante o qual, shame on me... adormeci! Ainda o filme ia no início. Não por culpa do filme, mas sinceramente...estes últimos dias têm sido uma confusão! Mas sem dúvida, ainda o termino de ver esta semana. Podem contar com isso!

190 minutes of a good movie during which, shame on me ... I fell asleep! The movie was still in the beginning. No movie's fault,  but truly... these last days had been such a mess! But I will see this till the end of this week. You can count on that!
